It vv.ll not be necessary tor the piano dealers of
the Southwest to hide in their cyclone cellars for fear
of the onslaughts of Frank M. Hood, who left Chi-
cago on Monday of this week for a tour of three
weeks in that part of the United States in the inter-
ests of the Schiller Piano Company of Oregon, 111.
Mr. Hood expects to take orders on the merits of the
Schiller p'anos, and his pent-up energy wi'.l be set
free in explaining how money can be made by selling
them to the best people of the towns and cities and
the countryside. It would be well for the dealers
to meet Mr. Hood at the depots with a brass band
and escort him uptown.
His itinerary includes
j Springfield, Mo., and other Missouri towns and then
into Arkansas, Nebraska and Iowa.

the country, and transport can be undertaken only
in small two-wheel carts and by ox traction. Most
pianos, however, are too large for these carts, so
that for transport the keyboard must be removed.
