WALTER GIESEKING'S RECORDS
Famous Pianist, Now on Tcur, Acids Alluring List to
Welte-Mignon Library.
Walter Gieseking, who records his playing exclu-
sively for Welte-Mignon (Licensee), appeared last
week at Carnegie Hall in what will, probably, be his
last New York performance of the season. As in
every other appearance of Mr. Gieseking in New
York, every seat at Carnegie Hall was occupied,
attesting the tremendous popularity of this noted
artist.
Mr. Gieseking is scheduled to appear in St. Louis
in two performances, on March 16 and 17, and from
there he will go to Buffalo to lill an engagement
scheduled for March 20.
The work of Mr. Gieseking for the Welte-Mignon
(Licensee) Library, offers actual and faithful portrayal
of the art of this great- genius. The authenticity of
his recordings is attested by himself, who, on hearing
his first recordings remarked:
"The reproduction of my piano playing on the
Welte-Mignon (Licensee) is by far the most com-
plete and the truest that I have yet heard, and sur-
passes by far all my anxiously awaited expectations.
I am filled with truly unbiased admiration."
Among the most popular of his recordings for the
Welte-Mignon (Licensee) Library are: The Silver
Cascade and Kilibri (from "The Magic Book"), Nie-
Gerts, Lumbard & Co.
BRUSH MAKERS
maim; Kamennoi-Ostrow Rubenstein; .La Cathedrale
Enjjloutie and La Danse de Puck; Minstrels, Debussy,
and At the Cradle, Grieg.
Of particular interest to Welte-Mignon (Licensee)
owners, is the fact that Debussy's "The Engulfed
Cathedral," has been recorded for this library by
\\ alter Gieseking.
