What is regarded as one of the most modern music
departments in Baltimore, Md., department stores will
shortly be opened by Hecht Bros., in its new six-
story addition at Baltimore, Pine and Redwood
streets, which in arrangement, appointments and size
will compare very favorably with the leading musi-
cal instrument establishments in the city. The new
department will be considerably larger than the one
operated in the old store. Because of this a much
larger, varied and more comprehensive and complete
line of pianos, radios and phonographs will be car-
ried, in order to stock the department with a com-
plete stock of entirely new instruments.
In the store's new music department, many na-

A BALDWIN EVENT.
The official opening of the sale of the Baldwin line
by the Southern California Music House, Los Ange-
les, to begin April 5, will commemorate a musical epic
in the history of Los Angeles. The sale will continue
for a week, and will be held under conditions that
will impress the musical qualities of the Baldwin
pianos. During that period many artists of the Chi-
cago Civic Opera Company will be in the city giving
concerts. The fact that that company has the Bald-
win as its official piano and also the fact that all of
the stars are users of the Baldwin and have contrib-
uted testimonials of its artistic value will be used in VLADIMIR HOROWITZ (LEFT) AND ERNEST URCHS,
