OPERATORS' PIANO CO.
HAS BUSY SEASON
This Year's Business So Far Is Abreast of
That of the Last Five Years, Records
of Company Show.
There has been a great deal of activity all this fall
at the factories of the Operators' Piano Company and
the Capitol Roll & Record Company, 721 North
Kedzie avenue, Chicago.
Any doubt of this statement can be dispelled by
the checking of averages that have been kept by
Advertising Manager Stadler, who on Friday told
a Presto-Times representative that this year's busi-
ness with their house is on the average with that
of the last five years. Figures do not lie and as Mr.
Stadler is a reliable record keeper, with an actuary's
precision and a statistician's love of comparisons, no
one is going to doubt him.
Caters to the Demand.
The Operators' company has had a good season,
that's granted. Its line
places of public entertainment, and it manufactures
a variety of styles and sizes of coin-operated instru-
ments to suit the purse and the tastes of the buyers
and their patrons.
ENCOURAGING BANDS.
The beautiful prizes donated by the National As-
sociation of Band Instrument Manufacturers, have
done much to make possible the success of the band
tournaments and to increase the interest among the
school people. Although this branch of the trade has
contributed generously to the support of the contests
it should be remembered that the expense of the host
cities in entertaining the bands and the traveling ex-
pense of the visiting bands has aggregated some-
thing like $300,000.
