PRESTO-TIMES
In the spacious window, which incidentally looks out
on one of Detroit's main thoroughfares, three of the
new Kohler & Campbell "BB'' model pianos were at-
tractively displayed. So tiny, bright and colorful in
and of themselves to attract attention anywhere, the
display was made even more interesting by three life-

J. L. Hudson Company Features New Small Kohler
& Campbell Pianos with Lifelike Cut-Outs.
Detroit went "piano conscious" last month in no
uncertain fashion. Music retailers report an encour-
aging spurt in business due, at least in part, to the
constructive publicity inaugurated by the progressive
dealers of that vicinity. First of all came the big
Piano Playing Contest and Music Carnival. Greater
interest and enthusiasm was exhibited for this event
than towards any previous civic endeavor.
Tying-up closely with the Carnival Committee, the
J. L. Hudson Company presented a most attractive
window display feature to the interested passers-by.

Dealers Everywhere Testify to Its Wonderful
Service to Salesmen Who Work
on the Outside.
As a help to piano sales the Bowen Piano Loader,
made by the Bowen Piano Loader Company, Wins-
ton-Salem, N. C, is endorsed by the most progres-
sive dealers and the salesmen who show results. It
provides the opportunity of showing the goods and
enables the salesman or dealer to see many pros-
pective customers in a day. The Bowen Loader
makes selling outside possible all the year round.
With the Loader the salesman carries the store to
the customer.
The uses of the Loader for delivering are of the
greatest importance. It has been proved safe and
quick delivery means for music dealers in either the
city or the country. With the Bowen Loader one
man can load, unload or demonstrate an upright
piano or playerpiano easily and quickly. One man
can put on or remove the cover from the piano when
it is in a tilted position. In fact, only one man, the
salesman, is needed to sell pianos with one of these
outfits. Here is what an active Charleston, W. Va.,
firm thinks of the Loader:

Gentlemen: We are pleased to say that we are
highly pleased with the success our salesmen are
having by the use of the Bowen Loader.
There is no doubt in our minds but what this is
the most practical way of selling a piano on the out-
side. Demonstration is 50 per cent of the sale, and
our salesmen find in most cases that the piano is sold
when the demonstration is taking place.
Since we have used the Bowen Loaders we have
found our piano business has increased considerably
and we highly recommend this method of selling
pianos to all live piano dealers throughout the United
States when outside salesmen are used. We might
add that we know of no better way to get business
than by using a Bowen Loader and an outside sales-
man. Yours very truly,
GALPERIN MUSIC CO.
