ORGAN COMPANY INCORPORATES.
The Rockford Organ Company, Rockford, 111., this
week was issued articles of incorporation by the sec-
retary of state. The company, which purchased the
interests of the Bennett company of Rock Island,
was capitalized at $250,000. Incorporators are W. A-
Rrolin, John Wester and C. J. Sundstrand, all prom-
inent local manufacturers. The Rockford Organ
Company will be known as the Bennett Organ Com-
pany, the former name being used only on incorpora-
tion papers. Plans for the erection of a factory to
employ 150 men, and to occupy 50,000 square feet of
floor space are now being made. The factory will
move to its new home here about October 1.
YOUNG I. N. RICE TRAVELS.
A few days following the convention in San Fran-
cisco, I. N. Rice and Mrs. Rice left for a motoring
trip which will include the Yosemite Valley, Salt
Lake City and Seattle and everything in between
that attracts the party. Mr. Rice celebrated his 81st
birthday anniversary by putting in a full day at the
convention, meeting scores of old friends and, inci-
dentally, selling several good bills of W. P. Haines
& Co.'s pianos.
