MOVEMENT TO FORM
INDIANA ASSOCIATION
Several City Organizations in Joint Effort to
Establish Body at Meeting in Indian-
apolis October 14 and 15,
Through the efforts of the Indianapolis, Fort
Wayne, and other music associations in the cities of
Indiana, arrangements are being made to form a
state association similar to other state organizations
all over the country. Considerable publicity is al-
ready out on this meeting, which has been set for
Indianapolis, Wednesday and Thursday, October 14
and IS, and the various committee in charge of the
arrangements are very enthusiastic and feel that it is
going to go over big.
Some of the local associations in Indiana have been
the means of accomplishing some very wonderful
work which could not have been accomplished with-
out an organized effort and a state association is
likewise beneficial to every merchant in the industry.
A program is being prepared and many prominent
men in the industry plant to be present.
All music merchants in the state are urgently re-
quested to bring their wives and as many of their
organization as possible to this meeting regardless of
whether they receive an additional invitation to the
same or not.

of a new eight-piece organization formed in the Gul-

cumulating a supply of instruments. So when the
anticipated demand came the company was ready for
prompt deliveries.
The lively business of the Schiller Piano Co. is a
reflection of the feeling of dealers for the Schiller
piano. "Never have our dealers been more satisfied
with the Schiller than they are today, and never have
they had more for their money from us," was the
assurance of Frank M. Hood, vice-president of the
company to a Presto man visiting the factory.

convention in Rockford this week, where its design
and tonal and musical qualities drew the interested
dealers to the exhibit.
Another interesting spectacle at the factory was
twenty-one pianos "in a lump," being made ready
for shipment to a well-known educational institution
in Nebraska, Hastings College, Hastings, Nebraska.
Ten of these are Schiller Supergrands and eleven
straight Schiller uprights.
This sale was made through the Gaston Music &
Furniture House, of Hastings. The order was given
to Mr. Gaston after the teachers and the heads of
the music department had thoroughly tested a sam-
ple B grand and compared it with various others in
competition. It was quite an interesting sight to see
such an array of upright and grand pianos lined up
for shipment after the final touches on the instru-
ments.
