Q R S player rolls, and their importance to player-
piano sales, has resulted in many artistic window
displays by the Martin Music Co, Los Angeles, Calif.,
as the cut above testifies. The Los Angeles firm
is regarded as one of the most active on the Pacific
Coast and its steady progress is due to its fine
business methods and the consistent advertising of
its merchandise. The direct result of Q R S music
roll advertising has been very noticeable, as it has
been responsible for many player sales. The Martin
Music Company carries Q R S rolls exclusively.

New Action Announced by Attorney General
Intimates Desire to Cooperate with Trade
Associations to Fullest Extent.
A. complete reversal of the attitude of the Depart-
ment of Justice towards the activities of trade asso-
ciations is evident in a recent announcement of
action. Hereafter the associations may submit exist-
ing or contemplated activities to the department
which will advise if the actions are in violation of
the law. In making the announcement the Attorney
General indicates that the department will cooperate
to the fullest extent with legitimate organization.
The result of the department's action will be to
minimize the possibilities of legal action against the
associations or individuals. The submitted plans of
activity will be referred to the anti-trust division for
study, and the associations will be advised where
the operations are in conflict with the law.
The Attorney General intimates that where ques-
tionable practices are disclosed there will be no prose-
cution if the activities are dropped immediately when
