PRESTO
WORLD-WIDE FAME
OF THE CABLE COMPANY
Letter from British India Received This Week
Bears Undeniable Proof of the Fact in
Its Superscription.
Another proof that The Cable Company, Chicago,
is known around the world was received last week.
A letter from Calcutta, India, reached its destination
safely at the general offices of The Cable Company in
Chicago last week, although it carried only the fol-
lowing incomplete address:
"Messrs. Cable Piano Company,
Corner of Wabash Ave.
& Jackson,
United States of America."
That The Cable Company is a powerful and far-
reaching concern did not need this interesting illus-
tration as proof. Its operations in this country are
wide and every place they are of high importance.
Its selling organization also has created great inter-
ests abroad, where among musical people the facts
concerning the company's products are familiar.
Dealers in music goods in all parts of the world are

aware of the strength of the industry, the ability of
the personnel and the high standing generally of the
house. So although the instance cited is very inter-
esting, it is no surprise that postal officials in far-
away countries correctly located the home city of
The Cable Company.
NEEDED VACATION FOR

The Best Yet
Graceful lines, rugged construc-

every standpoint.
Appointment of New General Manager Gives
President of Bellevue, la., Piano Industry
Welcome Opportunity for Rest.
At a meeting of the board of directors of the
Henry G. Johnson Piano Mfg. Co., Bellevue, la.,
held recently, William A. Johnson was elected a
director and also elected to the office of treasurer.
Another important action of the board was the ap-
pointment of the new treasurer as general manager
of the business, to take effect immediately.
The latter fact gave Henry G. Johnson, president
of the company, his long desired opportunity to take
a much-needed vacation. For the past three or four
months Mr. Johnson's close attention to the details
of the business has had an injurious effect upon his
physical health. His family and friends knew that
only a complete rest away from the factory for at
least two months would be the best aid to getting
him back to his normal condition of energy and fit-
ness in time for the fall activities.
The appointment of William A. Johnson to his new
responsibilities was a sequence that gives the presi-
dent of the company a chance to change from his
rule of long and continuous work to a temporary
period of "seeing the other fellows doing it."

MINNESOTA TOWN SMALL
BUT PIANO SALES ARE BIG
Lucas Knese, of Roscoe, a Kohler & Campbell
Dealer, Creates an Enviable Record.
The town of Roscoe, Minn., has a population of
only 182 people. But this does not discourage Lucas
Knese, a Kohler & Campbell dealer, who resides
there. Mr. Knese is a real go-getter. He does not
limit his efforts to a small area. Instead he covers
the entire state of Minnesota.
As a Kohler & Campbell dealer Mr. Knese ranks
very high. His percentage of sales places him very
close to the top. It is indeed a tribute to a man like
Mr. Knese that he is able to overcome the extraor-
dinary difficulties that beset him. But a real sales-
man backed by a substantial line like Kohler & Camp-
bell can always succeed.
