POSSIBILITIES OF NEW
AEOLIAN CO. DEVICE
Combined Uses of Aeolian Pipe Organ and
Duo-Art Piano Affected by Means of
Electric Cable Connection.
It is now possible for any owners of an Aeolian
pipe organ to have a Duo-Art piano so joined to and
made an integral part of that organ that the piano
can be played in unison with the organ, together with
it simultaneously, either by a person's touching only
the organ keys, or by means of Aeolian pipe organ
music rolls; or, furthermore, the piano can be played
independently either from the organ keydesk, or its
own keyboard, or by means of Duo-Art piano rec-
ords. The Aeolian Company has perfected a new
device that links together by means of an electric
cable the Duo-Art Aeolian pipe organ and the Duo-
Art piano and makes of the combination practically a
new kind of musical instrument of hitherto undreamed
of possibilities.
The new combination of the Aeolian pipe organ
and the Duo-Art piano, besides being playable by
hand from the organ console, will play any Aeolian
pipe organ music roll or any Aeolian pipe organ Duo-
Art record. Some compositions, of course, will be
found to be better adapted to the union of the two in-
struments and so more enjoyable in performance,
than others. And this fact gives a new range of
practically unlimited possibilities of experiment and
enhanced enjoyment for the owner and his friends.
The application and adaptation to the Aeolian pipe
organ of the Duo-Art system of reproducing the fine
art of musical interpretation, in turn, brings into the
home the actual playing of many distinguished or-
ganists. No piano or organ invention in many years
has received such world-wide recognition.
Installation of the new device is easily made with-
out interference with or molestation of the appoint-
ments of the living room or other chamber wherein
it is to be placed. The Duo-Art piano is connected
to the organ console by means of an electric cable.
This cable takes up little room and can be hidden
from sight either under the flooring or otherwise.
Dependent on the length of the cable, the piano can
be placed in any part of the room and in any related
position to the organ console that may be desired.
PIANO SALESMAN DIES.
Charles Sandersky, a popular and successful sales-
man of Palmyra, Mo., died recently in a hospital at
Sullivan, Ind. He was well known all over Marion
county, Missouri, and for the past three years spent
in New York City, added to his reputation as a piano
salesman.
ANQELUS TAKES PART
IN THE FILM DRAMA
Famous Reproducing Piano Plays Important
Role in "Kiss Me Again" and Takes Place
as Director in Hollywood.
'Kiss Me Again," the Warner Brothers classic fea-
ture film, directed by Ernst Lubitsch, the famous
European movie director, boasts of three stars:
Monte Blue, Marie Prevost, and the Angelus Re-
producing piano.
Not an unimportant part is that so excellently ex-
ecuted by the Angelus. It is the opinion of the direc-
tors that the Angelus not only "played" its part well,
but also inspired the other stars to play as they never
did before.
The Angelus is also employed in Hollywood as a
director. When not playing in a picture it plays in
the sidelines. Many a star has been inspired by the
Angelus, given a brand of acting otherwise unattain-
able without the influence of the Angelus.
GULBRANSEN EXHIBIT AT DRAKE
The Gulbransen exhibit at the Drake Hotel last
week was one of the most popular convention meet-
ing places. One of the things that had been more
thoroughly worked out this year was the display of
advertising. An entire room was devoted to this.
Particular emphasis was placed on the direct-mail
presentation. Attractive panels had also been pre-
Mr. Martin's work was given added interest by
his accompaniment to the singing of Miss Ruth Pitts,
also of the Martin Music Co. Her beautiful soprano
voice, too, attracted much favorable comment. Miss
Pitts is a radio star of KHJ, Los Angeles, and also
had the privilege of singing from WGN while in
Chicago, with the accompaniment of the Gulbransen
Registering Grand.
The Greatest Plan
Ever Devised for
Selling Pianos
Above — Gulbransen
Piano and Register-
ing Piano Display at
Chicago Conventions
If you are tired of trying worn-
out selling plans that fail to arouse
even a spark of interest, here's
your chance to do something dif-
ferent.
A plan that gets action—stirs up
interest in every community where
tried. Parents have enrolled over
15,000 children under this wonder-
ful plan. When a dealer adopts it,
sales of the Miessner piano in-
variably follow.
The Miessner piano is different—
low, compact, light, easily portable.
But it's a regular-sized piano in
tone—has a tone as big and beau-
tiful as that of a small grand piano.
The remarkable Miessner Sales
Plan grew out of these distinctive
features of the piano. The plan and
the piano go hand in hand. Send
for full information and wake up
your piano sales.

Crowds attended the daily demonstrations by John
Martin, president of the Martin Music Co., of Los
Angeles, Calif. Most of his playing he did on the
new Gulbransen Registering Grand and this gave an
opportunity of showing the fine effects of the Gul-
bransen upright Registering pianos.

Many Gulbransen dealers took the opportunity of
investigating the sets of Gulbransen Registering piano
rolls, which have proven so popular since their intro-
duction a few months ago.
The Gulbransen display of pianos, all of which are
shown in the accompanying picture with the excep-
tion of the Registering Grand, consisted of the White
House, Country Seat, Suburban and Community
Models and the Gulbransen Grand.
