OPENING OF NEW STORE
IN DETROIT AN EVENT
Mitchell Company to Feature Cable-Nelson Line at
Gratiot and Mitchell Streets.
On Saturday, May 2, Philip Sadowski, who owns
and operates the Mitchell Music Co., Detroit, occu-
pied a new three-story building at Gratiot and
Mitchell streets, which is directly across from the
former location of the company. The Cable-Nelson
Co.'s line was the first, to be represented by the
Mitchell Company, which started in a small way
several years ago. The firm, through its fine busi-
ness policies, grew to the extent that an expansion
was necessary to accommodate its steady growth.
The Cable-Nelson line, always conspicuous in the
warerooms of the company, has been instrumental in
the steady progress made by the Detroit firm. The
new quarters furnish adequate space for displaying
the entire Cable-Nelson line. Phonographs and a
fine selection of radio are also carried.
The opening celebration was marked by an over-
flowing attendnace. An orchestra furnished music in
the afternoon and evening while souvenirs were dis-
tributed. Roses were given to the ladies, cigars for
the men and whistles for the children. President
John Parnham, of the Cable-Nelson Piano Co., headed
a good-sized delegation in attendance.
