PRESTO
SHOWING MISSOURI U. S. ROLLS
with the variety and musical merits of the rolls of
the United States Music Company are always success-
ful. Mr. Stout is to be complimented upon the very
exceptional window display which is pictured here.
DE LUXE PIANIST POPULAR
"Jimmy" Johnson, Who Records for DeLuxe Repro-
ducing Roll Co., Makes Miami Joyous.
"Jimmy" Johnson, one of the popular recorders of
the De Luxe Reproducing Record Co., New York, is
now the chief attraction at the Embassy Club,
Miami, Florida.
While at the Club Mirador in New York, he
achieved a reputation that stretched a few hundred
miles in each direction. But Mr. Johnson was out
for a wider radius of popularity. So he went to
Florida, and now his reputation has reached all the
way back to New York. It is said that he is giving
the playground of America a treat with his wonderful
playing.
The De Luxe Reproducing Record Co. considers
it fortunate to have him under contract and believes
that as a recorder all the dealers who are carrying
the De Luxe reproducing records are sure to cash in
on the pianist's popularity.
MOVES IN BOSTON.
Rudolph Toll has moved from the second floor at
52 Stewart street, Boston, to the ground floor, where
he has secured more space and a better location for
his fine stock of band and orchestra instruments.
Extensive show window space has been acquired in
the change. Greater facilities for the Toll School are
provided for in the ground floor space.
DRUM FREIGHT HEARING.
Lyon & Healy, Chicago, acting through the Music
Industries Chamber of Commerce has requested the
railroads for a reduction in the freight on drums. The
proposal is made on docket No. 22 of the Consolidated
Classification Committee. The eastern hearing was
held in New York last week and another hearing was
scheduled for Chicago this week.
DEALERS and TUNERS!
The accompanying cut shows a recent clever win-
dow display by the Stout Music House, Kirksville,
Mo., in which the U. S. player music ro'l featuring
"Peter Pan" was featured.
