Mr. Ilgenfritz is one of the concert pianists who
record for the United States Music Co. He will re-
turn to his duties with the Chicago music roll indus-
try on or before September 1st. He specializes in
the Auto-Art rolls for the U. S. Music Company, and
will henceforth do all his recording in the United
States.
RADIO AIDS PIANO SALE
Geo. G. Foster Sees Growing Desire to Hear and
Produce Good Music.
The popularity of the radio is helping, rather than
unfavorably affecting, the piano business, according
to George G. Foster, president of the American Piano
Company. In a statement issued to stockholders in
connection with the annual meeting Mr. Foster said,
in part:
"The question as to the effect of radio on the piano
business is frequently asked. We believe it to be de-
cidedly helpful. It is increasing the knowledge and
appreciation of music and is awakening an interest
