TELLING THE COUNTRY
ABOUT U. S. MUSIC ROLLS
Effective Advertising of the United States Music Co.
in National Magazine Tells Convincing Story.
The close association of the U. S. Player Music
Rolls, made by the United States Music Co., Chicago,
with the joyousness of youth is shown in the cleverly
drawn picture which illustrates the caption of the
company's ad in the Saturday Evening Post of March
29. The suggestion is so clear that little text is re-
quired to convey the message of the advertisers.
"U. S. Rolls inspire dancing. They're longer—more
entertaining—popularly priced," is the caption to
which this advice, appropriate to the occasion, is
added:
"Buy a player—Be your own pianist!"

ENGLISH TUNER'S CERTIFICATE.
The Federation Tuner's Certificate is a mark of
efficiency required from applicants for a tuner's job
with any of the reputable English piano houses. Ex-
aminations are held at intervals at the Northern Poly-
technic in London, and from the number always
seeking the certificate it is evidently considered a
necessity by the public and the trade.
