STRAUCH BROS. NEW
PNEUMATIC ACTION
Latest Admirable Product of Renowned Action
Manufacturers Evokes Warm Interest in
Piano Trade and Industry.
A new folder just issued by Strauch Bros., 327-347
Walnut avenue. Bronx, New York, applies to the
Strauch Bros. Pneumatic Action recently announced
to the trade. The sales on this action, the latest ex-
pression of Strauch Bros, inventive genius, technical
knowledge and careful workmanship, are most sub-
stantial in volume, which shows how the piano manu-
facturers regard this action.
That is not surprising for a pneumatic action dis-
tinguished by inventive genius, technical excellence
and thorough workmanship was naturally expected
from such a source. The Strauch Bros. Pneumatic
Action is of a high character only possible from an
industry of such eminence.
The new Strauch Bros. Pneumatic Action is a pow-
erful aid to the player pianos in that it provides that
essential quality, simplicity of construction. Added
to this are unusual powers of repetition and artistic
expression, great durability and responsiveness. The
new folder clearly explains the merits of the new
product of Strauch Bros.:
The remarkable simplicity of this pneumatic action
is one of its primary, outstanding characteristics.
Tuners, player men and repair men can easily take
care of this pneumatic action without any special
study or instructions, as the Strauch Bros. Pneumatic
Action is governed by the basic manufacturing prin-
ciples applying to all player actions, but simplicity is
its notable feature.
Another leading feature of this product is its un-
qualified power and repetition; its artistic phrasing
possibilities are practically unlimited.
Gentle treadling is all that is required for minute
shadings and gradations in tone color, while a forceful
crescendo is instantly expressed by a slight empha-
sis in treadling.
Its substantial structural strength is directly re-
sponsible for its great durability—this pneumatic ac-
tion standing up under the most exacting tests and
conditions.
Every component part is well built and co-ordi-
nates with every other individual unit.
The minutest care and attention are exercised with
respect to every detail, and the artistic finish is in
keeping with the high standards of manufacture
which typify Strauch Bros. Piano Actions.
The Strauch Bros. Pneumatic Action is a revela-
tion, and is distinguished by the same quality which
has characterized the products of this institution for
over half a century.
FOUR NEW DRY KILNS FOR
GULBRANSEINhDICKINSON CO.
Additional Lumber Storage Room Also Under Con-
struction at Big Chicago Plant.
Building operations in the plant of the Gulbransen-
Dickinson Co., Chicago, have been begun in prepara-
tion for a larger output of Gulbransen Registering
pianos. This time it is four new dry kilns and a lum-
ber storage room that are under construction.
Ground was broken Wednesday of last week for
the new building. It will be 140x42 feet in size, lo-
cated at the Spaulding avenue end of the company's
property and just south of the lumber yard. The
kilns will be of the Grand Rapids Vapor type and will
increase the lumber capacity by 250,000 feet per
month.
The lumber will be moved into the new kilns and
storage room on trucks, the loads of lumber being
pulled by a small power machine. Starting with the
raw material, all lumber at the Gulbransen plant is
handled on a comprehensive system of trucks moving
on tracks.
The Stoddard-Peterson Co. have the contract for
this construction, and expect to complete it in about
ninety days.
