QUICK ACTION ON ORDERS
Tuners and Repairmen Appreciate an Admirable Fea-
ture of American Piano Supply Company.
It is surprising to the uninitiated how many differ-
ent articles go to make the completed piano or
playerpiano. It would prove a surprise to the piano
customer if the salesman or dealer enumerated the
requirements in materials of an instrument chosen.
The necessities of the piano manufacturer have been
provided for by special houses, like the American
Piano Supply Company, 110-112 E. 13th street, New
York, which carries a comprehensive list of piano,
playerpiano and organ materials.
The tuner and repair man find a quick friend in
the catalog of the American Piano Supply Company
in which is set down the felts, cloths, hammers,
punchings, music wire, tuning pins, player parts,
pneumatic leathers, brasses, hinges, castors and hun-
dreds of other necessary things for the man who
tunes or repairs the instruments.
There is one thing the piano tuner and repairman
appreciates more than anything else and that is quick
action on his written or telegraphed orders by the
supply house favored. And tuners and repairmen
everywhere recognize that promptitude as a distin-
guishing feature of the American Piano Supply
Company.

HERE'S A NEW INSTRUMENT.
The managers of the Earle Studios, at Holly-
wood, Cal., have invented or caused to be invented a
new musical instrument to provide effects during a
certain episode in filming of Goethe's "Faust" which
is being filmed to music by Charles Wakefield Cad-
man, the American composer. The new instrument
is expected completely to dominate an entire episode
of the picture, and it is hoped rise above the combined
brass instruments of the orchestra.
MUSIC FOR MOVIES.
Charles Wakefield Cadman, eminent American
opera and song composer, is composing a musical
script for Goethe's "Faust" (not Gounod's opera
story), simultaneously with the construction of the
film script by Ferdinand Earle, the artist-director
who will produce it. "Cadman's numbers are being
written into the script and the film will be directed
with the structural requirements of the music in
view," declares Earle.
