OPERATORS CO. EXHIBIT
TO BE AT OWN FACTORY
Will Allow Dealers to View Entire Process of Making
Automatic Pianos.
The Operators Piano Co. announces that its exhibit
during Convention Week will he held at the factory,
22 South Peoria street, instead of at the Drake Hotel.
Mr. Stadler, manager, feels that the company's prod-
ucts, which arc coin-operated pianos, would be better
exhibited at the factory where the dealers could see
the entire process of manufacture. Automatic pianos,
unlike the ordinary kind, are not manufactured by
any standard process, and so it is important to show
the prospective buyer every step in the building of
the instrument.
The Operators Piano Co. now has enough orders,
says Mr. Stadler, to keep the factory busy for the
next three months. The electric pianos have this year
enjoyed record breaking sales.

PRAISES SEEBURG INSTRUMENTS.
To the dealer familiar with the musical and me-
chanical merits of the automotive instruments of the
J. P. Seeburg Piano Co., Chicago, every instrument
is its own policy of insurance of satisfaction to the
purchaser. The Seeburg automatic instrument in-
sures a big quality in the music product, perfection
in tone, accuracy of mechanical operation and thor-
ough durability. A combination of these qualities
means pleasure to the hearers of the instrument and
a lasting and profitable investment to the purchaser.
One of the satisfied customers of the J. P. Seeburg
Piano Co. is the W. L. Pace Piano Co., Beaumont,
Tex., which in a recent letter to the Chicago manu-
facturers said: "Your pianos are all you claim for
them—'Simplicity, Reliability, Endurance'—and you
might add Beauty and Melody. Our relations in the
past have always been very cordial and we would
ask that you remember us as one of your satisfied
customers."
DEVICE FOR TUNERS.
The Kleernote Pump sold by Hammacher, Schlem-
raer & Co., Inc., 4th avenue and 13th street, New
York, is an absolutely essential tool for tuners and
its usefulness in the piano store is also'apparent to
dealers. This is guaranteed to be "the only thorough
and efficient Tracker Bar Suction Pump, thoroughly
dependable for removing dirt, dust and paper particles
from the tracker bar. It keeps the instrument in
proper playing condition, preventing weak and silent
notes." Knowing the advantages of this tool for
tuners and dealers, Hammacher, Schlemmer & Co.,
Inc., make a special price offer to tuners and dealers
who buy several Kleernote pumps at on time. The
company also has a very inviting proposition to
dealers and tuners who are willing to push the sale
of the tool.

JOHN MARTIN VISITOR
TO GULBRANSEN FACTORY
Man Who Points the Way to Sales Extolls Gul-
bransen Instruction Roll Method.
John and M. V. Martin of the Martin Music Co. of
Los Angeles, Cal., are visiting the factory of the
Gulbransen-Dickinson Co., Chicago, this week. On
their way to Chicago they stopped off at Kansas
City. They have interests in the state of Kansas,
being in business in Wichita and other points for
many years.
John Martin is more enthusiastic than ever over
the musical possibilities of the Gulbransen player-
piano, demonstrating which he at one time toured
the country.
Better playing of the Gulbransen and the Gul-
bransen Instruction Roll Method of selling and
teaching are first aids to sales which Mr. Martin can
convincingly talk about.
On Friday evening, May 11, Mr. Martin gave a
demonstration of his system of selling to the Gul-
bransen dealers in the Chicago territory, of which
there are forty-five or more.
Another visitor to the Gulbransen factory this
week is F. D. Witt of Witt's Music Store, Lorain,
Ohio. Mr. W 7 itt states that he will concentrate on
playerpiano business to a greater extent than ever
before.
The piano department of the Shuck Music Co.,
Glendale, Cal., was recently enlarged to accommo-
date an increase in the piano and playerpiano stock.
