At a recent meeting of the Central Ohio Retail
Victor Dealers' Association held in the Hotel Desh-
ler, Columbus, C. A. Williams, head of the Williams
Music Store, Zanesville, was elected president, and
another Zanesville man, O. E. Callander, manager
of the Spence Music Co., was elected secretary. The
new vice-president is E. M. Levi, Columbus, and the
new treasurer is L. M. Phillips, Mount Gilead, re-
elected.

Facts in Various Lines of Commodities Which Enter
Into Musical Instrument Manufacture.
The American Piano Plate Co., Racine Wis., was
recently incorporated by Walter F. Walker, Walter
B. Mitchell and Milo J. Griffith.
The Veneer Products Co., was recently established
on Commencement Bay, Tacoma, Wash., where rail
and watter shipping facilities are available.
The Reynolds Felt Co. was recently incorporated in
Binghampton, N. Y., with a capital of $100,000.
It is one of the boasts of veneer men that there is
a romantic attraction about the veneer business that
"keeps for keeps" those who enter it while young.
Staining from glue is due to the action of the alkali
in the glue on the tannin and other constituents of
the wood, the Forest Products Laboratory, Madison,
Wis., believes, but names precautions that will keep
discoloration from finished surfaces.
Standard Daily Service says the trend of copper
prices is upwards, the prices having recovered 45 per
cent from the low levels prevailing in August, 1921.
It also states that visible copper stocks represent
not more than five weeks' supply, which has been
largely contracted for.
The Amsco tuning pin has been made for a quar-
ter of a century by the American Musical Supply
Co., Jersey City, N. J., and is now used in the world's
finest pianos.
