CHARLES H. JACKSON HEADS
IMPORTANT COMMITTEE
President of Jackson Piano Company, Milwaukee,
Chosen as Chairman of Publicity Body.
The music trades have received notable recogni-
tion at the hands of the new administration elected
by the Milwaukee Association of Commerce in the
appointment of Charles H. Jackson, president of the
Jackson Piano Co., as chairman of the publicity
committee, a new body of fifteen business and pro-
fessional men whose especial duties it will be to
make Milwaukee better known to Milwaukeeans and
to "sell" Milwaukee to the rest of the world as it
never has been sold before. The vice-chairman of
the new committee is Leonard E. Meyer. Gladstone
Cherry is secretary. Walter C. Carlson, one of the
younger generation of business men, is the new
president of the Association of Commerce and
brings to the office the experience of an eminently
successful manufacturer.
Manufacturers, wholesalers and retail dealers in
music instruments, accessories and supplies are giv-
ing the new administration hearty support as indi-
viduals and collectively as members of the Mil-
waukee Association of Music Industries. The first

His aim, in truth was very good;
And not a drop or crumb, I wis,
Escaped that facial orifice.
With eager pride he flung them in.

As men at target practice swell
When lucky bullets ring the bell.
Away, away, the luncher flew!
Ten minutes wasted! O, mon dieu!
And through the door with nerves all tense
He fairly sailed. Check 60 cents.
CANADA'S OVERSEAS TRADE,
The Canadian Trade Mission in England has been
discontinued and in its stead there has been consti-
tuted the special trade commission to be known as
the overseas branch associated with the trade com-
mission office in the United Kingdom. The duty
of the overseas branch will be to make sales or pur-
chases, or negotiate contracts for individuals or cor-
porations. Such matters will be left to thir own
resources and efforts.
TRADE LIKES WEEKLY
LETTER ON CURRENT EVENTS
Unique Addition to Autopiano Dealer Service Keeps
Dealers Well Posted on Happenings.
Several months ago the Autopiano Company of
New York City instituted a unique addition to their
dealer service. This consists of a weekly news let-
ter covering the important happenings of national
life and outlining in a clear, authoritative way the
possible outcome of the many important issues which
affected our national and political life.
The information for this letter is receivedithrough
special arrangement with a news organization hav-
ing its headquarters in Washington, and has been
the means of keeping Autopiano dealers informed
with the best "news prophecy" available.
Ever since its inception this dealer service has in-
creased in populartiy. Autopiano dealers realized
that happenings affecting the national life were al-
most certain in time to reflect themselves in th>-
trade conditions in their own territory.
With one of the recent letters the Autopiano Com-
pany enclosed a return postcard asking Autopiano
dealers to give their views on this unique service—
whether the information was of assistance and ask-
ing whether this dealer service should be continued.
The returns from these cards showed that this Auto-
piano service is receiving an enthusiastic welcome
and that the information contained in these weekly
letters was valuable to piano dealers throughout the
United States.
Any Autopiano dealer who is not receiving this
weekly letter service can have himself put on the
mailing list by direct application to the Autopiano
Company. New York City.
FOR TRADE WITH MEXICO.
A conference to stimulate trade relations between
the United States and Mexico, organized through the
efforts of the American Chamber of Commerce of
Mexico, opened its sessions on February 11. The
object of this conference, which was well attended
by delegates from all parts of the United States as
well as by representative business men of Mexico,
was to stimulate trade relations between the United
States and Mexico and, according to reports, it has
accomplished a great deal toward this end.
