has recently made a favorable comment on an ex-

The magazine describes this feature as follows:

to the vibrations of the latter and to reinforce those
from above. Thus this lower air mass, customarily
confined and deadened, is able to expand the tonal
effect to an increased and unexpected volume, depth
and quality."
The Brambach tone expander has always been
one of the selling features of the Brambach baby
grand piano. As described above, due to this method
of construction, increased volume is. obtained by
permitting the sound underneath the sounding
board to unite with the sound waves which gen-
erally arise from the strings.

W. C. Heaton, vice-president and sales manager
of the Auto Pneumatic Action Company, New York,
was in Chicago on Monday of this week, on a busi-
ness trip. Mr. Heaton says the strike is gradually
being forgotten by the manufacturers of New York,
