AMOA '93 Anaheim plays host to AMOA Expo ·93 The Orange county Performing Arts center. Mention the city of Anaheim and the first image that comes to mind is that of Disneyland-the original grand-scale amusement park . While this entertainment landmark put Anaheim on the map , the entire Southern California region has developed into a visitor 's feast, offering such diversions as Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Sea World. In addition to these man-made attractions are surfing and sailing along legendary beaches bearing names i'UCh as Newport, Laguna, Balboa, and Huntington. AMOA chose Anaheim for its Expo '93 site and invites the coin machine community to come share in the fun Oct. 21-23. Over 1,000 booths will display the latest in videos, pinball, darts, redemption, table games, kiddie rides, countertops, sports games, novelties, and accessory items. Five educational sessions are scheduled: "Saving the Family Business," "Depreciation-Learn How to Make Money," "Vending Development From A Through Z," "Unplug the Holidays," and "Video Gaming-What's Hot? What's Not?" The glittering awards show and banquet will honor the best jukebox recordings of the year, outstanding amusement games, and cigarette vending machine promotions. Celebrity singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins headlines the floor show. Loggins has won two Grammy awards, as well as multiple platinum and gold albums. A spouse's program includes a visit to the Orange County Performing Arts Center, a lunch and fashion show , and a shopping spree at the South Coast Plaza. The exhibit floor will be open from 10 a .m . to 5 p.m. daily, with special distributor hours from 9 a.m. to 10 a .m. the first two days.
