Game update from Atari Distributors named for South America Sega Enterprises has named R.H. Belam Company as its exclusive distributor for amusement video arcade equipment in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean Islands. R.H. Belam has been active in the Latin American market for over 40 years. The company supports its distribution and markets products through an extensive network of offices and dealers. Today R.H. Belam operates in six countries in Latin America. Each market is visited. monthly by a member of the staff. Williams Electronics, in the meantime , has appointed Betson Enterprises as the only authorized U.S. distributorship to market and service coin-op games in South America. Joe Dillon, vice president of sales at Williams, said, "Betson has actively sold and traded for many years . Williams' Lenore Sayers recently traveled to South America to reinforce the company's commitment to the Latin American marketplace . Karaoke, first introduced into the United States by Pioneer Laser Entertainment in 1988, will be the focus of a new syndicated television program called " Karaoke Showcase." The program will be hosted by Jon Bauman, better known as Bowzer on "Sha Na Na."
