- NEws ~ Dynamo Home Products will continue its sponsorship of shuffleboard's Grand Slam National Tour, according to a recent announcement by the Shuffleboard Federation. Dynamo began working with the Federation in 1990 when it debuted its shuffleboard table at the North American Shuffleboard Championships. The relationship carried on with Dynamo's sponsor- ship of the Federation's 1991 Grand Slam. Each of the Grand Slam tournaments includes eight to 10 different events and three divisions, as well as a National Amateur Shuffleboard League regional tournament. The 1992 Grand Slam kicks off with the Michigan Open in Grayling, Mich., on May 20-25, and concludes with the North American Shuffleboard Champion- Frank Skilton Bob Cadmus Merit Industries has filled three key positions with the following gentlemen: Frank Skilton, director of finance and chief financial officer; Bob Cadmus, vice president of operations and chief operating officer; and Jack Sullivan, regional sales manager for the East Coast. Skilton has 22 years of experience in building professional financial organizations and improving proPLAY METER 12 fitability. Prior to 1ommg Merit, he worked for Laser Magnetic Storage International Co. and Burroughs Corp. Skilton's main goal at Merit is to "assist in the achievement of significantly improved profit objectives that are well within Merit's potential to achieve." Cadmus, a 33-year veteran of the electronics industry, was most recently employed by Superior Electric Co. as APRIL 1992 ships in Reno on Nov. 10-15. Speaking about the favorable comments players have made concerning the Dynamo table, Federation vice president Cheryl Collins said, "In five years we have promoted more than 35 national events, and one thing we have learned is that our participants are not shy when it comes to voicing their opinions. The high praise they had for the Dynamo shuffleboard table is a credit to Dynamo's efforts to deliver a first-rate product." Jack Sullivan vice president of manufacturing. He previously held similar positions with Commodore Business Machines, Decision Data Computer Corp., Datamedia Corp., and Burroughs Corp. His main concern is to "continuously improve the quality and reliability of Merit's products to a level second to none. " Sullivan has been in the coin-op industry for 11 years , beginning his career with Merit in 1981. He served as customer service representative and field engineer during his previous tenure at Merit, proving instrumental in developing the company's training programs for technical seminars. Sullivan was most recently employed by Tekbilt as its general manager.
