AAMA names Olson "Video Power" host Johnny Arcade Video show now on the tube ''Video Power , '' a new TV show devoted to the video game industry , premiered Oct. 1 on stations nationwide. The half-hour syndicated program, which blends live action with animation, is geared to children between the ages of 6 and 14. It will air five days a week. Said executive producer Frank Marrone, " 'Video Power' is an on-air magazine for kids who take their video game playing seriously. We anticipate the show will become kids' prime source for timely video game information and news, in addition to providing them with great entertainment." The program focuses on today's games by incorporating tips, previews, reviews, playing secrets, and general video game information. It is jointly produced by three of the country's leading entertainment companies-Acclaim Entertainment Inc., Saban Entertainment, and Bohbot Communications. Besides working closely with Fay to obtain co-sponsors for legislation that impacts on members of the association, she will assist him with AAMA's overall legislative program. ''Rep. Johnson is a co-sponsor of dollar coin and anti-gray market legislation, so Laura was already familiar with these issues ,' ' said AAMA president Gil Pollock. "She has also spent time studying the other legislation that we've been working on this summer. I am sure her background in child care and family issues will be a plus." Added Fay, ''Laura has shown a lot of enthusiasm for the position. I think she's going to be a real asset, and of course the staff is really happy to have her aboard.'' Olson is a graduate of Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. , and holds a bachelor's degree in political science.
