AMOA booth space sold out All 682 available booths for AMOA Expo '90 have been sold, according to AMOA spokesman Fred Newton. It will take place in New Orleans on Oct. 25-27 at the Convention Center. Edison Brothers Stores recently purchased the nationwide chain, which experienced sales of about $33 million in 1989. Bell loses round in Miss. court John Bell of Bell's Music Co. in Vicksburg, Miss., has failed in his bid to have a felony indictment for racketeering thrown out. His attorneys wanted it dismissed on grounds that Bell had signed an agreement with the state attorney general's office, protecting him from prosecution if he ceased operating illegal video poker machines. Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick said ruling on the agreement would mean deciding if Bell is innocent or guilty of gambling activity-an issue that should be decided by a jury. Defense attorney Travis Vance Jr. said he will appeal this ruling, along with an earlier one, to the state Supreme Court.
