The Four Kinas
Grand Products has introduced The Four Kings, a
pedestal-b ased single-pla yer novelty game using a
velocity-ball principle. The Four Kings combines skilled
poker play with target-aiming accuracy.
The game is operator-a djustable and initially set to
play two hands of poker for one coin. During play, balls
fly around the domed playfield . Players use a movable
flipper to bat the balls toward targets that build a poker
hand that lights up on display when complete. Although
set for one player at a time , the game lends itself to com-
petition among players.
"The Four Kings is the first electro-me chanical
novelty piece ever brought out in a system form," said
Stan Jarocki, vice president of Grand Products. "We
plan to release Thunderdr ome next, a motorcycl e-race
game using the same velocity-ball principle . Th under-
drome will be interchangeable with The Four Kings, so
the operator can move the games among the street or
arcade locations on his route."
