A Gauntlet plea
In your November 1 issue , Don
Traeger, Atari 's regional sales rep,
was reported as saying that Gauntlet
couldn't be released as a kit because
of its special configuration .
Atari does have a Gauntlet kit!
They have a board set . They have a
control-panel overlay and graphics.
And they have a wiring diagram. The
cabinet modification could be difficult ,
but I'm sure most operators could
handle it.
The big question is, will Atari put
those parts in a box and sell them to us
at kit prices? The answer is no . The
first time the majority of us will see a
Gauntlet kit will be when pirate kits
start popping up around the corner
and down the street from our loca-
tions. Then , Atari, the pirates will
make more money on Gauntlet than
you will.
Atari , make us happy, make more
money, make us a kit!
