..... Stern Electronics' new juke box division assembl e d distributors
for Seeburg phonographs in a closed meeting Aug ust 21 in Chicago.
The idled Seeburg jukebox production line was scheduled to gear up
again in October 1980, one year after shutdown with Seeburg Corp.'s
filing for bankruptcy proceedings.
St e rn completed a purchase
arrangement for the jukebox line in July . Executive changes were
made at Stern to head up its two s e parate divisions, jukebox and
amusement games: see Manufacturing s ection inside this issue ....
In addition to the exe cutive line~p, Ben Rochetti joined Stern as
director of sales at late August. Rochetti had held a similar
position at Empire Distributing/Chic a g o.
He will supervise Stern
sales in the United States, Canada, and South America . . . . . . . . . . . .

introduce a new syste m in video g ames at the AMOA Show, Oct . 31.
Andre Dubel, Elcon president, exp lained : " We are going to supply

quarters is being moved October l t o One Dela ware Drive, Lake Success
on Long Island. The new facilities will boast a larg e showroom and
expanded parts and service areas. Lak e Succe ss is located in
Nassau County near New York City .... R. H. Belam Co., Inc., the parent
company, announced that it has taken o v er ma rketing responsibilities
for the XY Overlay which is designe d t o s pur extra income from XY
games such as Asteroids, Rip Off, and Spa c e Wa r s. The XY Overlay
was designed by Belam's game test ing div i sion together with artists
from Hy C Enterprises. The system, d e sign, and materials were per-
fected, says Belam, after months of testing on Asteroids games.
It is the original Asteroids color a dd - on- and is fully copyrighted.

Freeway from Inter-State Leisure , I n c . of Co l umbus, Ohio for an
' undisclosed price. Funway Freewa y , f o rme d in 1974 , is one of the
largest U.S. operators of arcad e amus ement centers, with facilities
in 19 states. Each center feature s the l ates t electronic video games and
pinball machines in attractive ly- themed s p ace within a regional shopping
c~nter. GSC/Six Flags operates s ix t hemed amus e me n t parks and two wax
museums, with total attendance of more than 15 million persons a year ....
