TIP ONE
SITUATION: If your customers
complain that your Gremlin Depth
Charge plays "too slow".
SOLUTION: You can speed It up
by:
(A) Removing the jumper that
connects point 1 to point 2 on the
I~ic board.
(B) Solder a jumper from point 1 to
IC U49 pin 11 to make the game
twice as fast or
(C) Solder a jumper from point 1 to
IC U49 pin 10 to make It four times
faster.
NOTE: Pin 1 Is located on the logic
PC just to the left of IC U40 (7442i.

TIP TWO
SITUATION: Audio distortion in
the video display of your Starship I.
SOLUTION : Possible . Replace
the 470 MFD cap, C79, on the logic
board with a 4700 MFD, 25V cap.
TIP THREE
SITUATION: Bad hum bars in
your Atarl Starship. Also chattering
"coin lockout" relay and failure to
credit.
SOLUTION: Replace the 26000
MFD capaCitor located on the metal
chassis in the bottom of your
machine.
TIP FOUR
SITUATION : To eliminate possi-
ble vertical roll tendencies on the new
type Motorola M7oo0-155 and
MSOOO-155.
SOLUTION: Locate R-44 , 1 meg
ohm resistor, located off of the base
oftranSistor Q-IO, and jumper a 470
K ohm , 1J4 watt resistor across It.
TIP FIVE
SITUATION: Failure of horizontal
output transistor on new type
Motorola Monitor M7oo0 and
MSOOO .
SOLUTION: Motorola transistor
B2L is often too light to handle the
current at this point. Replace It with a
Sylvania NECG 283.
TIP SIX
SITUATION: The fingers of the
logic board overheat and often burn.
SOLUTION: Pins "B" and "2" of
the 44 pin edge connector must be
shorted together.
