Du Mont Serial Numbers
Now Stamped on Chassis
The receiver division, Allen B. Du
Mont Laboratories, Inc., has struck a
blow to transshipping practices by
stamping serial numbers directly onto
its television receiver chassis.
The new serializing system, in effect
for some time now, makes it impos-
sible for serial numbers to be removed
or even defaced without ready detec-
tion. In the past, obliteration of serial
numbers has made it difficult to trace
the origin of transshipped merchandise,
once it has left the manufacturing plant.
The new system will now enable Du
Mont to trace speedily any transshipped
receiver brought to its attention.

Electric Guitar, as well as in solo role.'
