pany, the Symphonic Carillon is
unique in the field of carillons because
it is possible to play bells that sound
in-tune at all times. This is made pos-
sible by the use of two bells of identi-
cal pitch to each note. One of these
bells is tuned to a minor tonality and
the other to a major tonality. Thus
the resulting tones sound in-tune at all
times with any other standard pitch
instrument, such as piano, organ and
harp.
