F. Kelso Davis, advertising and sales
promotion manager of Pratt, Read &
Co., Ivoryton. Conn., has for many
months been traveling throughout the
country and appearing before the sales
and technical divisions of various piano
and technical advantages of the Pratt.
Read piano actions and keys.
On September 8th he addressed the
sales and technical staff of Wra. Knabe
& Co. at 534 Fifth Ave., New York.

merchants in the interests of promoting
a better knowledge of the construction
M. Pettit, manager of the store, tendered
the entire organization a buffet supper,
preceding the talk given by Mr. Davis.
There were approximately 30 members
of the organization present, and that the
evening was enjoyed by all can be at-
tested to by the accompanying photo-
graphs which were taken at that time.
Among those present from the sales
staff were Nicholas Lang, M. I. Finger,
Herchel Sailer and Walter Butler. Clar-
ence M. Pettit, manager and Arthur W.
Wright, sales manager, acted as hosts.
Mrs.
Irene Prouse, secretary to Mr.
Pettit, and Miss Kathryn Hutchison, who
for many years has been manager and
has built up the service department,
were also present. From the service de-
partment were John De Gaurdi, head
tuner, J. Dannie, John Heilman, Wallace
Maganin. Paul Di Novo, Thomas Cos-
telion, Milton Cheek, William Ward,
Philip Balzer, Leo Reilly, John Doll, Al
Biondi, Martin Nichols. Oscar Gerhardt,
Joseph Holmes, Dominic Trasi, Frank
Loprette. Winfred Thompson, Stanley
Sharock, and Carmelo Forestieri.
Those from the organ department who
attended were Collins Griggs and Robert
Lofquest.

by the piano merchants or the tuners in
exploiting the Damp The attractive cover, which shows one

all times." On the inside is shown how

Jack Buckley, sales manager, stated re-
cently. "We are proud of the deluge of
unsolicited recommendations and praise

users, dealers and tuners."
Contra Costa Junior College
Buys Hazelton Style M Piano
A. C. Concalio reports the sale of a
Style M, Mahogany Hazelton piano
manufactured by Kohler & Campbell,
Inc., New York, to Contra Costa Junior
College of Richmond, Calif.
Mr. T. Bradshaw, Supervisor of Music
of the Richmond schools has also pur-
chased a Hazelton studio model.
Wurlitzer in Plastic for School
Forest G. Smith. The Piano Shop,
Hallowell, Me., has announced the sale
of a Wurlitzer Piano, finished in Plastic
Fabric, to the Waterville High School,
Waterville, Maine.
