GE Announces Nineteen
New District Managers
Nineteen district managers have been
announced by General Electric's Receiv-
er Division as part of expanding com-
mercial operations in the radio and tele-
vision receiver fields.
All are new positions in the division's
field sales organization, according to
Arthur A. Brandt, general sales man-
ager.
The appointments (listed alphabeti-
cally) include: F. S. Anderson, Wash-
ington; R. M. Bruce, Syracuse; R. V.
Buivid, Minneapolis; H. A. Crossland,
Philadelphia; J. F. Effinger, Cincinnati;
T. C. Gilliland, San Francisco; R. L.
Hanks, Hartford; J. A. Kerr, New York
and Newark; John Klenke, Birmingham;
P. H. Leslie, Detroit; F. W. McDonald,
St. Louis; T. A. McDonald, Boston;
R. J. Meigs, Kansas City; G. S. Peter-
son, Chicago; H. G. Randolph, Los An-
geles; C. L. Schmidt, Dallas; R. P. Van
Zile, Cleveland; B. S. Wells, Seattle, and
T. B. Willard, Atlanta.
RCA Victor Dist. Corp. Purchases
Bickford Bros, in Buffalo
Bickford Brothers, together with RCA
Victor Division of the Radio Corpora-
tion of America, have announced that
effective August 1, the RCA Victor Dis-
tributing Corp. acquired the physical
properties of Bickford Brothers Co. as
wholesale distributors in the Buffalo
and Rochester areas. The announcement
was made by Paul Wolk, President of
Bickford Brothers, and H. M. Winters,
Director of RCA Victor's Distribution
Department.
Mr. Winters also disclosed that the
RCA Victor Distributing Corp., wholly
owned RCA subsidiary, would take over
the operation of both the former Bick-
ford branches, effective August 1. The
purchase price to Bickford Brothers was
not disclosed.
Wurlitzer Piano for Moose Home
Parker-Gardner Co., Charlotte, N. C ,
recently sold a Wurlitzer Piano, Model
901, to the new $100,000 home of the
Loyal Order of Moose in Charlotte.
