of dealer newspaper ads and radio spot
announcements which cover not only
the important features of the Chicker-
ing piano but also vital 'merchandis-
ing' phases of piano advertising."
The various themes which are taken
up in this advertising treat on Chicker-
ing leadership, Chickering models,
Christmas and other gift occasions.
There are also illustrations of individ-
ual pianos of Chickering logatype for
making up an ad with the dealer's copy.
The advertisements run from 3 columns
by 10 inches, down to 1 column by 6
inches Line drawings of the first Chick-
ering piano made in 1823, the first
Chickering upright made in 1830 and
the first Chickering grand made in
1837 are also displayed.
