Baldwin Piano Featured
in Puerto Rico Recital
that in which 43 pupils of Mrs. Rosita
Escalona Nin took part on Jenuary
27th last. There were four piano en-
sembles as well as trios, duets and
solos. The Baldwin piano was used.
The accomplished Mrs. Nin is the wife
of Salvador R. Nin, Baldwin represen-
tative in Puerto Rico. In the accom-
panying illustration she is shown sur-
rounded by a group of her advanced
pupils.

Summerfield's Boston Stages
Successful Vaughn Monroe
Promotion
The new Record Shop opened by
Summerfield's Department Store of
Boston last December took a veteran's
bow recently for a highly successful
tie-in promotion of RCA Victor artist
Vaughn Monroe recordings and a local
theater engagement of the Monroe
Band. Promotion included a half-hour
visit to the store by the Bandleader.
