ALTOONA, PA., March 4.—Charles D. Rigg, of
the firm of Russell & Rigg, musical supply
dealers, died at his home here on March 2 after
a short illness, aged forty-six years. For nine-
teen years he was associated with William H.
Russell in this city, and for years he was a
conductor of theatre orchestras, and was the
organizer of Rigg's Blairmont orchestra. His
widow, a son and daughter survive.
F. J. Bacon in New Orleans
NEW OKLEANS, LA., March 2.—Frederick J.
Bacon, president of the Bacon Banjo Co., vis-
ited New Orleans last week making a tour of
all the high schools here giving concerts on his
Bacon banjo. While in the city Mr. Bacon re-
marked that New Orleans was one of the great-
est music-loving cities he knew of and saw no
reason why it should not have a very bright
iuture in th« music trade.
