Jewett, a former member of the general music
house of Mischka, Wahle & Jewett, founded in
Buffalo in Civil War days, died November 12
in his home in that city_ after a lingering ill-
ness, on his eighty-seventh birthday. Mr.
Jewett retired from active business life years
ago.
