FRANCISCO, CAL., March 30.—Members of
the band contest committee, in charge of the
San Francisco Music Week band contest, are
all taking keen interest in the plans being
formulated. Daniel Miller, president of the
Conn San Francisco Co., a member of the com-
mittee, said today that it is expected the win-
ning bands will be sent to Joliet, III., to take
part in the national school band contests. Last
year three California bands, Modesto, Princeton
and Burlingame were sent to the national con-
tests and two bands came back winners.
