T. L. Lutkins, Sr., head of T. L. Lutkins,
Inc., New York, importers of tan pneumatic
leathers for the player action and organ trade,
returned to the eastern offices of the company
this week following a short trip to the Lut-
kins' offices in Chicago. He reported most of
the trade in that section to be living up to its
contracts for monthly shipments. At the New
York offices it was learned that business has
been brisk this Fall.
*-pHE latest Chicago High School to be

velt Senior High School recently completed and
a most modern structure in every particular.
The instruments were supplied through the
Chicago representatives of the Stieff, Meyer &
Webber, and represent part of the substantial
contract for Stieff pianos placed with that com-
pany recently by the Chicago School Board,
due to past satisfaction.

to the concert stage, in spite of his eighty years,
has completed forty concerts in the British
Isles in a period of about eleven weeks, con-
stituting a remarkable record for a musician in
any stage of life. Having used a Baldwin con-
cert grand exclusively on all of his concert ap-
pearances for many years prior to his retire-
ment, de Pachman insisted that several of these
instruments be shipped to England for his use.
He recently expressed his appreciation to Win-
chester Berridge, of the Wigmore Hall & Piano
Galleries, Ltd., London, for securing the Bald-
win pianos, in a letter as follows: "Firstly, I
wish to thank you very much for the prompt
manner you have dealt with the delivery of
the piano to my flat, and the pianos supplied me
on tour. I take this opportunity of telling you
how very delighted I have been with the Bald-
win pianos supplied. I found the touch light
and so sensitive and responsive. Those pianos
enabled me to get more shades of tone and
color than any other instruments I have ever
played on."
His remarkable tour, starting in London on
September 25, was as follows: at London;
at Bath; at Leicester; at Sheffield; at
Hanley; at Birmingham; at Blackburn; at
Leeds; at Halifax; at Newcastle; at Middles-
