CHICAGO, I I I . , May 2.—Julius N. Brown, piano
tuner and mechanic, has opened a new shop at
1310 East Sixty-first street, known as the "Piano
Hospital," where rebuilding, repairing, tuning,
etc., will be done on quite a large scale to take
care of the growing demand for this work.
Mr. Rrown, who has been active in the tuning
profession for the past sixty years, reports a
large demand for piano repair work and in
opening this shop he has selected a personnel of
expert repair workmen to take care of the de-
mands that are already manifested.

SPRINGFIELD, O., May 2.—Piano plate companies
announced this week that the prospects for
future business are better than two weeks ago.
Harry Stimmel, of the Fairbanks Piano Plate
Co., says he believes things are geting better
generally.
