by New York State Department of Labor
The prerelease of the industrial film "Safety
Always," which has been prepared under the
auspices of the New York State Department of
Labor, was shown recently in the plant of the
Brambach Piano Co., New York, to the entire
factory personnel. Many of the "shots" were
taken in the Brambach factory to show some of
the more modern safety appliances in use on
machinery there. Considerable interest was
therefore attached to the showing of this film
in that it afforded many of the men an opportu-
nity to see themselves as "movie" actors for
the first time.
Due to the untiring energy of Dr. H. B.
Schoenberg, medical director; Mrs. M. L. Rog-
pany posted on welfare matters. As a result
of has efforts, a safety committee composed of
twelve employes (one foreman and the rest fel-
low workers) holds monthly meetings for the
d'scussion of welfare, safety and other matters
pertaining to the interests of the men.
Every three months the entire personnel of
the Brambach organization meets for the same
purpose. At these general meetings the recom-
mendation and reports of the committee of
twelve are brought up and passed upon. Mr.
Newton is largely responsible for the organized
interest now manifested throughout the Bram-
bach factory resulting in the high quality of
workmanship that is apparent to everyone.
"Safety Always" means a lot to the men of
the Brambach factory, Mr. Newton states. In
fact, they are so impressed with their ability as
movie actors that they are constantly rehearsing
