company.
A band mill will be installed, with a capacity
of 40,000 feet of timber a day, and all machines
will be operated by their own motors. Approved
conveyers will carry the timber from the mill
to the yard.
The company holds between 4,000 and 5,000
acres of timber land north of here, from which
the suitable timber will be cut and hauled to
the mill. The hauling will be done by tractors
over a tractor road twelve miles in length. This
is now being built and is expected to be ready
for use by January 1, when tractors will operate
over it night and day. The mill will be of extra
heavy timber and will be 36x120 in size, two
stories in height.
The Heaton Music Co., Columbus, O., has
opened a new branch store in London, O., on
South Main street and will install a complete

better lately than it has been for some time, said
Harry Stimmel, of the Fairbanks Piano Plate
Co. Conditions have been growing better in
recent weeks. M. L. Milligan, president and
treasurer of the company, left this week for a
trip through the East to visit several piano
manufacturers and acquaint himself with the
situation. Demand for piano plates is expected
to quicken with the advance of Fall, officials
said.
Miss Klea Evans has purchased the Essert
interests in the Essert Music Co., Durago, Colo.,
and will continue the business under the name
of the Evans Music Co.
