No. 1,580,438 for a piano player.
This invention relates more particularly to
automatic piano players in which perforated
sheets are used, and having reference to this
particular case, the object, generally stated, is to
enable the performer to have before him the
music as ordinarily written with all the marks
of expression, and in case of vocal music, the

apart from this particular purpose, the object is

M. F. Gardwood, Jr., foreman of the repair
department of the American Piano Co., deliv-
ered an interesting address on practical piano
building at the last monthly meeting of the New
York division of the National Association of
Piano Tuners, Inc., held recently at 45 West
Forty-fifth street. Mr. Gardwood, who is presi-
dent of the division, gave the members some
valuable information on repairs.
