The Chickerings used by Liszt
are today treasured mementos
of his career at the Royal Con-
servatory at Budapest. And at
the home of the great pianist
at Weimar, preserved intact as
when he lived in it, the
Checkering h: loved is in its
place in the silent Music Room
of the Master. -^ -~ --~
FROM
since the great master Liszt loved and used the
Chickering, down to our own day when the great Lhevinne
holds it in the same esteem, the career of this piano has
been one long triumph.
EVER
In 1850 Jenny Lind selected the Chickering for her accom-
paniments, and Gottschalk, Thalberg, Busoni, Carreno,
Schnitzer, Dohnanyi and the great pianists of each genera-
tion during the century of its life have chosen the Chickering
as the fitting medium for their genius.
The exquisite tone quality of the Chickering so widely rec-
ognized by the exacting artists of the concert stage is just as
lovely, just as pure and delicate, when heard in the home.
