Latest Addition to That Company's Line a
Tenor Banjo Outfit Possessing Many Inter-
esting Features
A new tenor banjo outfit to be known as the
"Glee Club" was announced last week by C.
Bruno & Son, Inc., wholesaler of musical mer-
chandise, 353 Fourth avenue, New York. The
outfit consists of banjo and case and the banjo
is of the popular resonator type. It will sell
at retail for about $47, according -to Fred W.
Kling, advertising manager of the Bruno or-
ganization, who is now busy preparing adver-
tising material to furnish to the trade.
In describing the instrument to a representa-
tive of The Review this week Mr. Kling said:
"It has an eleven-inch head and mahogany finish
rim and resonator, attractively inlaid with
choice woods, twenty brackets, hooks and nuts,
Grover Presto Ideal tailpiece, imitation ivory
patent pegs. The resonator is readily detach-
able, fastening with one bolt through the dowel
stick.
"The case is of triple veneer, Keratol cov-
ered, and flannel-lined, with nickeled clasps and
locks.
"This new Glee Club banjo and case repre-
sents such a remarkable value that we expect
to see dealers move them rapidly, in fact, the
few dealers who have already secured some of
them have disposed of them quickly and have
reordered. They report that it fills a big de-
mand in the trade, a good quality resonator
banjo and case at a moderate price."
