New York since the arrival of the famous
Isham Jones Orchestra after its long engage-
ment at the College Inn, Hotel Sherman, Chi-
cago. This popular Brunswick recording or-
chestra was selected for the honor of opening
New York's newest supper club, the Rue de la
Paix, where Jones is the featured attraction.
This club is already attracting hundreds of
New Yorkers and visitors every night and all
comment favorably on the wonderful music.
The Isham Jones orchestra is completely equip-
ped with gold Conn instruments, made by C.

Conn Co., the New York Conn distributor, is
making the most of the Jones appearance with
a tie-up that is effective.

tive of M. Hohner, Inc., Hohner harmonicas
and accordions, New York, who has been spend-
ing a short time at the home offices, left last
week for the Pacific Coast.
Emerson E. Strong, advertising manager of the
Fred Gretsch Mfg. Co., manufacturer and
wholesaler of musical merchandise, 60 Broad-
way, Brooklyn, N. Y.
Immediately after the first announcement
that the catalog was ready the Gretsch firm
received a rush telegram from a big music
house in a California city stating that they had
been eagerly awaiting the catalog and to deliver
one promptly. Mr. Strong got busy and dis-
patched a catalog by airplane mail, \Two days
later a substantial order was received by wire.
But California is not the only part of the
country that seems to be interested in the
Gretsch musical merchandise encyclopedia.
Dealers in all parts of the East and Middle
West have begun to send in orders for the
new items listed in the book as well as for
the old favorites with the result that the night
shift will be the rule at the Gretsch plant for
some days to come.
