New Holton Saxophone Mouthpieces
saxophone mouthpiece, a Bakelite covered, metal
mouthpiece, built to fit any make of saxophone.
In the short time this mouthpiece has been
on the market it has been sold to thousands of
saxophonists and the Holton firm has received a
great many testimonials from prominent players
who assert that it is the finest they have ever
been able to obtain.
Among the advantages claimed for the Hol-
ton-Perfected mouthpiece are its absolutely
permanent lay, a part of the mouthpiece body
that cannot warp or pull off and which, once
adjusted to the individual peculiarities of a
player, will retain its perfect dimensions under
the very hardest use and even abuse. Being
Bakelite covered it has no taste and no odor,
is extremely easy playing and so strong that it
can be thrown across a room on a hard cement
floor without injury. It is made in various
colors, the soprano in blue, the alto in green,
the C-mclody in maroon and the tenor in a rich
seal brown.
Its construction is such that It is unaffected
by heat or cold and the pressure of the liga-
ture has no effect on the lay. The lay, as regu-
larly supplied, is one designed especially by
Oscar Haucr, one of the greatest authorities on
woodwinds in America. It makes it possible
for the amateur to get a better tone.
For several months Holton saxophones have
been regularly equipped with the Holton-Per-
fected saxophone mouthpiece, which is an exclu-
sive Holton product and for which patent is
pending.
Dealers from Maine to California are selling
the new mouthpieces. Hundreds of them are
stocking it to good advantage, finding that it
meets with a ready sale. A clarinet mouthpiece
embodying the same remarkable features is also
ready for distribution and exceedingly large
sales and great popularity are predicted for it
by dealers who have been privileged to see the
first ones that have been produced.
