Plugs "Dream Daddy" Strong
CHICAGO, TIJ.., February 9.—An exceedingly en-
thusiastic young gentleman who thinks "Dream
Daddy" is one of the biggest song hits of the
year is Phil Moore, representing the Joe Morris
Music Co. as traveling representative. He
stopped off in Chicago to say "Hello" to his
friend, Walter Wilson, last week and was on
his way again. Mr. Moore intersperses his sales
with plugs on the radio in the larger cities
which it is stated are bringing a large number
of sales of this song to dealers.

tion by Irving Berlin, Inc., in recognizing her
work as an expert arranger of ukulele solos.
Miss Breen has joined the arranging staff of
this publishing organization and in the future
all popular new issues and those now in the
current catalog are to be printed with her ar-
rangements for ukulele. Through her long ex-
perience as an instructress and music writer she
has devised a simple method for arranging
ukulele music in conjunction with the printing
of piano copies. Miss Breen is now considering
an offer to record for one of the leading record
companies. She is also a radio favorite and has
often been heard through Station WEAF. In
most of these latter programs she has been ac-
companied by Miss Peg Wanamaker, a clever
jazz pianist.
Emily Beglin Sings at Tivoli
The new Tivoli Theatre in the Rosemont sec-
tion of Newark is keeping up its reputation for
exceptional programs by featuring as soloist for
the next few weeks Miss Emily Beglin, dramatic
soprano, formerly of the Metropolitan Opera
Co. Among the prominent songs in Miss Beg-

Supreme Court Justice Bijur approved re-
cently the incorporation of the Music Associa-
tion of America and the Music Contests League.
The petitions state that Otto H. Kahn, William
C. Breed, W. Fellowes Morgan and Paul D.
Cravath are among the incorporators. The
others are Ralph Jonas, William H. Johns, Mar-
tin Conboy, Isabel Lowden, George Cromwell,
W. Rodman Fay, Eugene Allen Noble, Rav
Palmer, James R. Murphy, Arthur S. Somers,
Mrs. Clarence Dickinson, William Leo Mulry,
Raymond Rogers, Jeremiah Wood, Edwin G.
Forster and Joseph O. Walsh.
The Music Association of America aims, ac-
cording to the petition, for the "development of
wider appreciation of good music, higher stand-
ards of musicianship, and to bring all people
in closer bonds of fellowship and understand-
ing; to promote musical arts, encourage native
genius, preserve the folk songs of other lands,"
and to engage in other musical activities. The
Music Contests "League aims to "promote and
develop, through friendly musical contests, a
greater interest in good music."
