New Hearst Numbers
Being Widely Exploited
"Forget-Me-Not" Being Played by Paul Specht
and His Hotel Alamac Orchestra, as Well as
"Only a Butterfly"
Some of the new additions to the catalog of
Hearst Music Publishers, of Canada, Ltd., art
finding unusual favor with many leading orches-
tras, as well as vaudeville headliners. Among
these new prints are "Forget-Me-Not" (Means
to Keinember), which has had a Broadway in-
troduction by Paul Specht and His Hotel Ala-
mac Orchestra. This issue and "Only a Butter-
fly" have not only been features of Specht's
program in the Congo room of the above hotel,
but are broadcasted nightly from the dance floor
through the co-operation of station WJZ.
Paul Specht is particularly interested in "For-
get-Me-Not" and recently wrote the publisher:
"I think'Forget-Me-Not'is one of the danciest
ballad tunes 1 have played for a long time and
"1 am going to start my campaign at once."
The approval of such a prominent leader in
the dance world to-day certainly places the
seal of approval regarding the calibre ot the
new releases of the Hearst Music Publishers,
Ltd., and the exploitation through SpecM and
his orchestras should certainly prove nio.t
valuable.

Army. After finishing his musical studies in
the National Conservatory, Baron came to the
United States, where he won success as a com-
poser. More than one hundred of his works
are listed in the catalogs of G. Schirmer, Carl
Fisher, Oliver Ditson and Belwin.
His composition, "The Chimes of Notre
Dame/' is a reverie with chime effects and was
inspired by the grandeur of the Universal pro-
duction, he says. The number, to be published
by Relwin, Inc., will receive extensive exploita-
tion from the Universal Pictures Corp., in con-
junction with the showing of "The Hunchback
(Metzger-Wright)
of Notre Dame" throughout the United States.
