Thayer Action Company
Employs Two
Grand Rapids Vapor Kilns
Two 17'xlOO' Grand Rapids Vapor Kilns were
installed at the plant of the Thayer Action
Company in Rockford, Illinois, in 1911. These
kilns have rendered the highest degree of per-
fection in the proper curing of lumber used in
the manufacture of a quality product.
Manufacturers of pianos realize that the scien-
tific drying of woods is of prime importance,
and many in various parts of America have
learned that the service p e r f o r m e d by the
Grand Rapids process is an insurance against
improperly cured stock.
The Grand Rapids Vapor Kiln maintains a
laboratory service for the benefit of the trade.
Your drying troubles may be diagnosed and
solved. Our engineering representatives will
be glad to call upon you at your request without
obligation to you.
